Keeping it Real...Welcome! No matter how you found this, God knew you'd be here today. May you absorb the message He has for you. In 2011 I shared through my writing, today I've learned there is more to me than just writing. I have the energy and passion to share with others. Sometimes through Facebook live and others with my blog and most importantly, I've learned my passion to cook and bake is a vessel to share my writing and live presentations, while glorifying God in the process. I just needed to let go, and follow His lead.

Working for the school system has many benefits - one of which is a day off during the week to honor, remember and celebrate the men & women who have served our country. I find one of the highlights of a day off in the middle of the week versus the extended weekend - the day doesn't get smooshed together with a busy weekend. It is left to stand on its own - a true Sabbath.
I started my morning with a couple hours of devotion, prayer and study time - without a timer set! This was fabulous! I know I shouldn't be "timing" my time with God yet if I don't set a timer during the week - the entire house ends up running late because I lose track of time and (which is a good thing when spending time with God is so enjoyable yet when people need to be up and moving for work and school....) the morning routine transforms from relaxed to a hurried frenzy. After some much needed time in the Word and prayer - I devoted my day to writing! I spent nearly nine hours yesterday working on my book! I had been "collecting" articles and pointers for preparing my book proposal. They have all been read, highlighted and rewritten on my note tablet. My writing table is organized and ready to start the next chapter. I've selected who I will be sending my book proposal to first. I responded to emails, posted on the Blog and updated contact information. The desk top is even organized! To some it was a day of work and business yet for me ~ it was a day spent honoring and obeying God while remembering our Vets who made this luxury one of the many joys I have in life. I pray your day was a productive (or non-productive if that is what you needed) day - Have a great Friday! Lisa :) |
