Keeping it Real...Welcome! No matter how you found this, God knew you'd be here today. May you absorb the message He has for you. In 2011 I shared through my writing, today I've learned there is more to me than just writing. I have the energy and passion to share with others. Sometimes through Facebook live and others with my blog and most importantly, I've learned my passion to cook and bake is a vessel to share my writing and live presentations, while glorifying God in the process. I just needed to let go, and follow His lead.

A Writing Corner...Good Morning Everyone! I usually post after church and before AWANA but today I thought I would try something different. As the curling iron warms in preparation of turning my flat hair to fabulous ~ I decided to blog.
Up until now my writing area has been located in my living room. This has its pros and cons - the pro is I'm still connected with my family and what they're doing and watching yet this would fall into the con category also as on somedays it is difficult to devote the necessary attention to my writing. A few years ago my husband rearranged our bedroom furniture and I created a writing nook behind my dresser. This worked well but any design show you watch, you shouldn't have your office in your bedroom. This is a place of relaxation and rest - so out the office went. I've also tried working in my front room but I'm too distractable and I didn't accomplish much. So the livingroom has been the prime location up until my brainstorm last night... I've decided to clean out this small hallway we have and transform it into an office. I'm going to hoe out the closet and do some major cleaning, ask my parents to store the file cabinets at their house and the supplies stacked atop both cabinets will be organized in the newly created space on the closet shelves. If I clean properly I'm hoping to downsize from two file cabinets two one. Maybe if I clean out the small one I could take it to school to store my stuff there...hmm...now I'm thinking. By the way - I'm hoping to paint two strips of "chalkboard" paint on the two walls behind my desk area for notes! WooHoo! I'll let my daughter create some blackboards on her walls with the extra - she has been asking. It will move me into "cool mom" for a bit when I actually planned to use it first. :) Sunday is a day of rest so the project won't start today but the brainstorming has. Enjoy your Sabbath - spend some time Worshipping our Savior and fellowshipping today before coming home to rest and enjoy your family. Each moment is precious and we don't know what tomorrow will bring. Lisa ;) |
