Keeping it Real...Welcome! No matter how you found this, God knew you'd be here today. May you absorb the message He has for you. In 2011 I shared through my writing, today I've learned there is more to me than just writing. I have the energy and passion to share with others. Sometimes through Facebook live and others with my blog and most importantly, I've learned my passion to cook and bake is a vessel to share my writing and live presentations, while glorifying God in the process. I just needed to let go, and follow His lead.

Yesterday was Easter and tomorrow is April 3rd... Hello everyone! Thanks for taking a few moments from your day to remember Heidi and our family throughout the years, and especially toady, on the 24th anniversary of Heidi's kidnapping. She remains missing and we remain hopeful to give her a proper burial one day. Love is bigger and stronger than hate and evil. The quote above is my Facebook post yesterday. The positive, hope-filled, prayer-filled, and encouraging post overwhelmed me, and other family members as they checked in throughout the day. If you are one of the people who took time to leave a word of encouragement, hope, love, and faith for the family in honor of Heidi, we want to send you a thank you and you are blessings we count. I know some aren't on FB so I shared this post again. "And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise." Philippians 4:8 NLT I try to focus on the positive and not let the negative and non-family-friendly comments get to me. But then again, I'm a human with a heart and I believe a big heart at that. The majority of people following the blog and the Where's Heidi Page on FB do so out of love and concern. Then there are others who follow for other reasons. To read their posts, I often wonder if they follow just so they can say hurtful things and take jabs at Heidi's family. These negative posts are the minority and some of you even respond to these people to defend Heidi and the family. We thank you. I try to ignore them and understand some just need to vent their frustrations in ways to hurt Heidi's family and friends. As I read some of the comments yesterday, I was overcome with hurt and discouragement. It was a tossing-n-turning kind of night until I remembered something...TRUTH WILL PREVAIL! I choose to "carry my umbrella" and not let the jabs of others steal my joy, faith, and love. To everyone who encourages us, WE THANK YOU ABOVE AND BEYOND WHAT YOU POSSIBLY COULD KNOW. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I pray God touches the hearts of everyone following the blog and on FB. May everyone share their thoughts to encourage, uplift, and spread joy. Heidi's family, friends, and community thank you. On that note, let's do the Hokey Pokey. This is dedicated to some special people in Heidi's life...you know who you are. Thank you for remembering and praying for Heidi...May this be the year she is found! She is forever loved...
