Keeping it Real...Welcome! No matter how you found this, God knew you'd be here today. May you absorb the message He has for you. In 2011 I shared through my writing, today I've learned there is more to me than just writing. I have the energy and passion to share with others. Sometimes through Facebook live and others with my blog and most importantly, I've learned my passion to cook and bake is a vessel to share my writing and live presentations, while glorifying God in the process. I just needed to let go, and follow His lead.

Yesterday I asked each of you to think about whom you call when you have good news to share or when troubles come your way. Do you call your family and friends or do you call of your Heavenly Father?
Today I want to challenge you to think about why you call the person you do. It is a trust issue. When we trust God 100%, He is the person we call. When we don’t have all five sense focused on the creator of all there is in this universe, it is easy to lose focus and place our trust in people and things that will let us down. “It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.” Psalm 118:8 KJV Today’s thought to ponder: Would you like a friend you can trust with EVERYTHING? Someone you could tell your innermost secrets, hopes, dreams, and troubles too without worry of them becoming the next person’s gossip? Do you know there is someone to meet these standards? Jesus Christ is a forever friend. After my sister’s kidnapping I let anger, bitterness, and grief consume me. I honestly believed there wasn’t anyone I could trust and the worst part was the last person I planned to trust was God. I directed nearly all of this ugliness and blame towards God. The first decade following Heidi’s disappearance my heart hurt too much to trust. Thankfully God used one child’s words, “Mrs. Buske, you need Jesus.” To open my eyes and heart to trust again. God is not responsible for Heidi’s disappearance and He was and is always there for me. I only needed to recognize this and welcome Him into my life. Once I did, peace started to replace the ugliness. I haven’t transitioned into a 100% positive and healed woman overnight, for that much, I am still a work in progress as long as I am living and breathing here on earth BUT I am 110% stronger and more positive than I was without my trust to let Jesus take care of me. Thank goodness. “Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.” Isaiah 12:2 If you could trust a friend to heal ALL your hurts, pains, and take away ALL the anger…wouldn’t you welcome him into your life? Jesus is this friend. The healing is a process, one worth all the work. Have you placed your trust in someone or something only to be let down? Would you like a friend you could trust with EVERYTHING, even your life? How does it make you feel to know God is ALWAYS there for you and can be TRUSTED with whatever you need to give Him today. Have you ever trusted God to meet a need and it was met without sharing it with anyone else? Would you share this act of faith with others? |
