Are you wondering why the turkeys joined the blog or why their feeding from my backyard in the rain is important? It's simple really, if I never slowed down to look out the window and take a breath and vision of relaxation and beauty, I might have missed this priceless moment in time. To see wild turkeys crossing the road, in the pastures and fields, or in one's backyard isn't abnormal in Upstate New York yet how often do we rush by. What if we all looked out our windows with the eyes of child? Do you remember the sense of joy and excitement when you saw something "new" or "out of the ordinary"? Another aspect of this wonder, the communication with your parents and/or care giver, when they stopped to answer the questions and embrace your intrigue and desire for knowledge. God is waiting for us to slow down and appreciate all He creates. He is always there to listen to your praises and cries. BUT...are we looking and reaching up to receive His love, grace, and mercy. Look at the birds. They don't plant or harvest or store food in barns, Look out the nearest window right now, what do you see?
