Keeping it Real...Welcome! No matter how you found this, God knew you'd be here today. May you absorb the message He has for you. In 2011 I shared through my writing, today I've learned there is more to me than just writing. I have the energy and passion to share with others. Sometimes through Facebook live and others with my blog and most importantly, I've learned my passion to cook and bake is a vessel to share my writing and live presentations, while glorifying God in the process. I just needed to let go, and follow His lead.

Excitement to keep me warm...It is bitterly frigid in Upstate New York today yet I didn't feel it at all. The Lord blessed me abundantly today...first with a snow day and then with an email from a publisher. Yes you heard me, a publisher contacted me today about my book. As if an unexpected day to spend writing wasn't enough, the Lord answered prayer like only He can.
Ephesians 3:20-21 NIV Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen (Biblegateway.com) I've spent the past few weeks developing my book proposal with the goal of sending it to an agent. Yet when the journey started I was looking to submit to publishers and then altered the plan and decided to pursue an agent. Then today God blesses me with an email that took my breath away. Had I veered off His path to travel my own? I hope not... Since July I have shared with you my desire is to write for God and to use the story of my sister's abduction and the impact it had on my life to help someone else know, without a shadow of a doubt, they are not alone. God is always right there with them...and me as we live each day without our sister or brother. I pray daily for God's direction in my writing and for the life of this book. Some of you may remember I was feeling discouraged and downtrodden over my Christmas vacation for not accomplishing as much "writing" as I had wanted ~ I prayed for God to show me if I was to be writing for Him or if it was an attack. Since January 1st, God has shown me over and over He is sitting with me, walking me and even jumping the happy dance with me when I'm writing in obedience to Him. My sister's abduction was a terrible and tragic experience, one I live each day BUT God is bigger and better than the evil that took my sister from our lives...He can work good and miracles in all situations. I pray for those who will read my book one day before I start writing and sometimes when I am writing. I pray for you as you read the blog to know Jesus and His amazing love for you. God wants me to share this story. There are sisters and brothers living without their sibling feeling alone, angry and hurt...they will know God loves them and He is the hope they need. Will you join me in prayer for my book? Pray I will follow God's path whether it be an agent or the publisher that contacted me today ~ so others will know of God's great love for them. With God...nothing is impossible! Celebrating the hope and encouragement He sent today... Thank you! |
