One Sister's Journey...
We have all arrived safely home from the annual "Fall Refocus" with the women of the Northeastern District's Alliance Women at the Delta Lake Bible Conference Center. We laughed, cried, learned, were inspired, motivated, and came home with much to think about. Many of the speakers challenged us to do and be the best woman of God we can be.
One of the speakers was yours truly. I spoke on being a "Light in the Midst of Darkness" after the kidnapping of my only sister, Heidi Allen. I had months to prepare and then changed my initial plan a couple weeks ago after much prayer. God knew what He was doing with the new presentation.
I met a lot of wonderful people and learned oodles. My mind and heart are exhausted. Going to spend some time with my family and to bed early so I don't look like a zombie in church tomorrow morning.
Have a great night everyone! More tomorrow.
A special thanks to the Alliance Women executive team and leaders for another AMAZING women's retreat weekend.
