Life brings us a mix of weather. We always enjoy the sunshine and rainbows but what about the storms and the waves they create? Do we celebrate and appreciate them? In the moment, probably not but when we pause to really think about the lessons we learned in the storm, there is much to be thankful for.
Stop shaking your head at me, I'm serious. Once the storm passes, whether it's a day, week, month, or decades, we are stronger, more determined, and wiser because of the journey traveled. Others might go through the same storm as you and some will never know the stress you feel. Regardless, you and I are the only ones experiencing "our" storm and each reaction, feeling, or emotion. There isn't a right or wrong, just different. It's important to remember this. It helps to keep a good perspective.
I think about all the kiddos starting college this Fall (which is actually the summer, lol). Some transition with grace and ease, others struggle and need time to find their groove. Some might return home and others chose to enter the work force or military. This next generation is on a mission and in a storm, a storm of change. Let us keep them in our thoughts and prayers. May they see their strength, determination, perseverance, and faith as the foundation to help them reach their goals.
Are you thankful for the storm making waves in your life?
