Keeping it Real...Welcome! No matter how you found this, God knew you'd be here today. May you absorb the message He has for you. In 2011 I shared through my writing, today I've learned there is more to me than just writing. I have the energy and passion to share with others. Sometimes through Facebook live and others with my blog and most importantly, I've learned my passion to cook and bake is a vessel to share my writing and live presentations, while glorifying God in the process. I just needed to let go, and follow His lead.

I'm on VACATION!! WooHoo!! As much as I'll miss my school family and our fabulous class, I'm so ready for a "break". Of course I look at our schedule for the week and next Sunday is the only day without an appointment or thing-to-do written on it BUT this is all good. I'm thankful for the scheduled time off to get-R-done without missing my kiddos at school. Don't get me wrong, today starts with dentist appointments for the family at 8 a.m. and the rest of the day is open, so it's not a full day, just an early one. OR I can choose to say, we are leaving thirty minutes later than we do on a school day. Right? It's all a matter of perspective. Anyway, let me share a snip-it of how my vacation started. Unlike no other break, I used a half personal day to join the ladies from church for our annual Spring Refresh. To start the week retreating with the ladies from our church and churches across the North East District was such a blessing. Instead of starting my vacation as Martha, I enjoyed a couple days of being Mary. If you aren't familiar with Mary and Martha from the Bible, check out the following verses, Luke 10:38-42. Click here to read them. It's a beautiful story, there are a few books written by Joanne Weaver, I've read them and they are an encouragement. The last time I loaned it out, I didn't get it back, (sad face), but I plan to add it back to my collection so I can re-read it. There is a second one too, check them out here. To get back on track, this past weekend we heard from many authors and I'm thankful to know each of them before hearing them speak today. I'm not good friends with these fabulous ladies but I've known them and talked to them prior to hearing them share the Bible with over three hundred women and encourage the masses with God's Spirit leading them. The other speakers were wonderful too but I wanted to highlight these two, one because I do know them and secondly, they had my fingers jotting notes to reflect on through the week and probably next week. Let me introduce you.
I encourage you to visit Kolleen and Lisa's websites and Facebook pages, there are links above and by clicking the pictures. I promise you'll be blessed. Do you take advantage of your church's annual women's retreat?
