Keeping it Real...Welcome! No matter how you found this, God knew you'd be here today. May you absorb the message He has for you. In 2011 I shared through my writing, today I've learned there is more to me than just writing. I have the energy and passion to share with others. Sometimes through Facebook live and others with my blog and most importantly, I've learned my passion to cook and bake is a vessel to share my writing and live presentations, while glorifying God in the process. I just needed to let go, and follow His lead.

GPCWC - Day OneI have returned to my room for the evening. After a fun-filled ride to the conference - it is time to get to work. First, Elaine's books were unloaded from the trunk and set up on display for sale this week. http://elainewmiller.blogspot.com/ Elaine is presented this afternoon so she was able to register upon arrival.
While we waited for the clock to read 2:30, we looked at the array of books available for sale this week. Oh my gosh!!!! I love books and books about writing...better yet. Once I registered, we drove to Heritage Hall to pick up our room keys. We decided not to room together so we could meet new people. Great idea! My roomie is wonderful and a missionary - great conversation! With my bed made, suitcases unpacked (Thanks Dad for bringing me this morning and carryingy my luggage. You are the best Dad!!), clothes hung up and an eager spirit ~ Im off to my first workshop. Pam Halter and Joyce Magnin presented and had a room of nervous first-timers laughing and relaxed before leaving the room. The next workshop I planned to attend was moved to Friday so I joined Tim Shoemaker for "Appointments: Starting off on the right foot". This was very informative also, and I'm revamping my pitch. (Yes, again!) Dinner was delicious and very filling with a closing lesson with C. Hope Flinchbaugh titled "Focus on The Cross. She challenged everyone to bear a cross for others to see - whether it be a simple cross necklace, a cross in the front lawn or twenty-eight of your closest friends pitching in $100 each to purchase a billboard. http://liftjesuscross.wordpress.com/ I returned with intentions of joining in the activities in the lobby yet when I stopped to leave off my stuff ~ I enjoyed a visit with my roommate instead. A blessing. I'm off to bed - up by 6 a.m. with breakfast at 7 a.m. I met some wonderful people today, one young teen has written three books! Mary - you are never to young. She said to tell you to keep writing! More tomorrow! Lisa P.S. I learned my new netbook has a video cam in it - the photos in the blog this time I took myself. :) LOL This last picture was when I looked down and saw myself! |
