Keeping it Real...Welcome! No matter how you found this, God knew you'd be here today. May you absorb the message He has for you. In 2011 I shared through my writing, today I've learned there is more to me than just writing. I have the energy and passion to share with others. Sometimes through Facebook live and others with my blog and most importantly, I've learned my passion to cook and bake is a vessel to share my writing and live presentations, while glorifying God in the process. I just needed to let go, and follow His lead.

Happy Thanksgiving! It is early on Thanksgiving morning. As most are up at this hour dressing the turkey with loving care in the joyful anticipation for their incoming family and friends this holiday season ~ I was aroused with thoughts of my sister heavy on my heart.
This Thanksgiving has stirred emotions of the past similar to those of sixteen years ago. At first I couldn't narrow down the reason yet through prayer and listening it dawned on me. As I work on revising my book and preparing my book proposal I am constantly thinking about Heidi, her abuduction with a constant reflection on my life ~ "as the sibling left behind". I'm thankful this morning for each breath and moment I have with my family and friends ~ for the love God has for me ~ for the Hope only found in Jesus! I pray you are able to wake up this morning and be thankful for the many blessings you have in your life! We ALL have things to be thankful for! Somedays it is easier to see them while on others, it is the most difficult thing we do. My goal for you is to wake up each morning with a thankful heart - for each morning when you wake up - there is Hope for that which is to come. Make Thanksgiving 2010 the year you decide to start each day with a thankful heart - the days go quicker and the smile grows wider with a renewed and hope filled perspective. And just think...tomorrow the first thing you can be thankful for is "I didn't have to get up at 5 a.m. to prepare the turkey!" And Saturday's first thing to be thankful for could be, "I'm thankful for the hope found in each day God blesses me with!" Happy Thanksgiving! I pray you and your family enjoy the holiday season! For my friends and family that celebrate another Thanksgiving without their brother or sister - I pray you find strength to accept God's greatest gift - salvation! :) For those especially "seeking" a loved one because they were kidnapped or abducted - taken from your family...I pray you start your day with a thankful heart. God has given us another holiday with our family and friends...which means we have hope she or he will be found today! May |
