Keeping it Real...Welcome! No matter how you found this, God knew you'd be here today. May you absorb the message He has for you. In 2011 I shared through my writing, today I've learned there is more to me than just writing. I have the energy and passion to share with others. Sometimes through Facebook live and others with my blog and most importantly, I've learned my passion to cook and bake is a vessel to share my writing and live presentations, while glorifying God in the process. I just needed to let go, and follow His lead.

Okay, how many of you are rolling your eyes, shaking your heads, and asking yourselves "What is she thinking now?"? Mary begged me not to post pictures of toilet paper and empty toilet paper tubes. She placed valid arguments of how neither were Biblical and she was sure I could come up with another idea to a blog, you know, one that doesn't require me taking pictures of embarrassing things like toilet paper. Mags is right, I can find a blog is many things yet God spoke to me this morning with our similarities to used roll of toilet paper. An empty, brown, used-up, and left over toilet paper tube. If we're honest with ourselves, we all have moments in our life when we feel like we're not good enough and are nothing more than a used up representation of what we used to be. BUT, this is NOT TRUE! We are children of God, the sons and daughters of a king, THE King - the Father of Heaven, Son of God, and Holy Spirit. You my friend, are a prince or princess to the Holy King, God. Before He even created the world He loved and thought about you and I. Whether you realize it or not, you are not an accident and when God looks at you ~ He sees a full roll of toilet paper clothed in His love, righteousness, and His gifts. ![]() "Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding. God has now revealed to us his mysterious plan regarding Christ, a plan to fulfill his own good pleasure. And this is the plan: At the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ—everything in heaven and on earth. Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan." Ephesians 1:4-11 ![]() What are you waiting for? Get rid of the notion that you aren't important or valuable, because you are. You are a prince. You are a queen. You are a child of God. You are a roll of toilet paper waiting to be unrolled. We are humans and in life there will be struggles, trials, temptations, loss, sickness, and the unthinkable. But instead of focusing on the messy things of life, use the strength of Christ because "I (you) can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (us)" Philippians 4:13. Instead of wasting paper to wipe your tears, use it to rid yourself of the yuck in life. You are designed for so much more - throw the used paper away but remember at the core is the more than a toilet paper roll, you are a prince or princess and God only sees you as the pure, white, and new roll of toilet paper when you trust your life to Him.
But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. 1 Peter 2:9 Reflect on being a child of God...the One True King! |
