Up until today those inspiring me to write have been nameless faces - equally important yet not a specific person. Today I would like to share a "who" that inspires me to write. My daughter. The photo selected for today's post is one drawn for me this past January. When I saw it, I smiled. She said "That is where you always are." This triggered a conversation - I want to write for God and to help others but not at the expense of my family, especially my daughter.
She hadn't drawn the picture to make me feel bad but to encourage me - "Mom, there are people who need your book. Keep writing!" Little does she know that I hope to write a children's book and possibly a teen chapter book talking about kidnapping too, just for her. Our children are inspiring...we need to slow down long enough to recognize, appreciate and thank them for this.
