This is the beautifully wrapped box my parents snuggled the handmade pen holder and pens into. It teased me for a couple weeks prior to Christmas and was worth the wait. Did I mention the pens write in pink to match my book cover and mom put pink roses on the tops so they would look nice sitting on the table too? She is one clever woman. The packages are opened, the bows and cards saved, and the ripped paper disposed of yet the joy and spirit of Christmas lingers throughout both homes still. Yes, our trees are still lit and decorated. Yes, the gifts still surround the tree. BUT this is the reason Christmas joy remains, it is because of Jesus. He was born a babe for us on Christmas day. Talk about a gift that keeps on giving. As you put away your gifts, take down your tree, and regain some control in your home from the multitude of Christmas decorations ~ remember Jesus was born to die. Easter is around the corner. And this year, instead of dreading Easter or the date "April 3rd" ~ I choose anticipation and joy. Jesus will rise from the dead on Easter Sunday and my first book will be released a few days before this celebration. Please don't mistake me, I am not comparing my little ol' book coming out to Christ's resurrection. My only link is for the first time in nearly nineteen years ~ I anticipate April more than December. ![]() Since we have to wait to celebrate Jesus resurrection on Easter Sunday and we have to wait for the release of my first book, Where's Heidi? One Sister's Journey...I decided not to wait in sharing the new website design with you. I hope you like it! Something fresh and perfectly pink...to match the bleeding heart rose on the cover of the book. An early Happy New Year to all of you! Feel free to share comments below ~ your words are always an encouragement to me and my entire family. |
