Keeping it Real...Welcome! No matter how you found this, God knew you'd be here today. May you absorb the message He has for you. In 2011 I shared through my writing, today I've learned there is more to me than just writing. I have the energy and passion to share with others. Sometimes through Facebook live and others with my blog and most importantly, I've learned my passion to cook and bake is a vessel to share my writing and live presentations, while glorifying God in the process. I just needed to let go, and follow His lead.

My first photo shoot...complete!Hello everyone! It has been a busy day - school, a photo shoot with the second night of the middle school play to conclude the day's events. I met Cammi Clark from "Today's CNY Woman" and her photographer, Kimberly book at the Belladerma Wellness Spa in Brewerton after school today for an hour of pampering and spoiling.
Thankfully my husband had the day off of work and he and my daughter both joined me for this first. The spa is above the "The Brick House" cafe on Route 11 ~ both were wonderful. I was relaxed instantly as I entered. After confirming we were at the correct location I went to the to grap my framed photographs and the old typewriter my mother-in-law gave me. With my daughter at my side we ventured into the cafe, up the stairs to the spa to enter a quaint room for the photo shoot. Both Cammi and Kim were wonderful to make us feel comfortable while setting up. By the time my husband filled the car up with gas and returned Kim was clicking away and I was smiling. Well I thought I was but my lovely family kept telling me to "smile". Who would have known I would get so nervous. They took some shots with me typing on the typewriter, sitting in a chair in front of the fire place, sitting on the floor typing surrounded by wadded up papers and even snapped a few of my daughter and I sitting on the floor as I explained how the old typewriter worked. It was a wonderful experience and appreciate the magazine including me in their March issue. The magazines are available at local grocery stores and it is also available online. Once the March issue is released - I'll blog with a link to the email edition and let you know specifically where you can get your hands on a hard copy. Good night everyone ~ I'm tired and have some cleaning to do tomorrow. |
