An author's greatest fear is first the editor, then our readers. The proof books arrived and the excitement lifted us to the clouds with our feet barely touching ground. Once the elation wore off and the next deadline appeared on the calendar we realized it is time to get to work.
As most of you know, the first "proof" book was given to my parents, the second went with my mother-in-law in her casket, and two more are full of beautiful white pages with words printed on them screaming "Read me, revise me, and let's get this party started." The first time I opened the cover I said, "Eww...I do not like that spacing. That needs to be changed." And so it begins...
I am making changes I have noted while others who read the very first draft and some of the revisions in between started to read and make their notes. My first review is in!!!
I am pleased as punch to share this with you. The first copy went to my parents so it is only fitting that my first review is from my mom. Stay tuned for more reviews as they come in but to wet your tastebuds a bit...visit my "Where's Heidi? One Sister's Journey" book page on my site to read her review.

And of course if you haven't viewed all the videos as of yet, they are all posted on this page too. Thank you everyone! Feel free to come back to this page and post a comment to Mom's review.
