On August 12, 2012 I announced my first book, Where's Heidi? One Sister's Journey would be released in April 2013, with the actual tentative release date being April 3, 2013. Since this announcement I have been encouraged, inspired, and motivated to continue moving forward, one step at a time.
I have started to schedule speaking engagements for the upcoming months leading up to (and after) the book's release. My prayers for open hearts to hear the message God gives me for each presentation keep me focused. My prayers to share the message He has for me at each venue are increased. My prayers for just the right message, visual, and Scripture verse for each are also lifted. This is about Him working through me.
Some people form outlines and lay out their plan. This doesn't seem to work for me most of the time. On rare occasions I will start one but usually my outline looks like different pages of yellow steno paper laid out on the floor or bed and then reorganized, stapled, and brought to the desk for me to begin typing.
As much as I love my computer and the time it saves me to put together presentations ~ my best ideas and thoughts come when I do it the old fashion way with pen and paper. There is something about the sound of a pencil, pen, or marker gliding across the paper as a new idea comes to be.
I pray for my sister's return daily. This reminds me of how precious each moment and person in my life is to me. As I move forward in prayer and preparation for upcoming opportunities to share my story of hope and healing after tragedy, will you join me in prayer?
Enjoy your weekend!
