I can't pin point when Paula and I first met but believe it was at our writers' critique group but then it could have been at the Christian Writers' Gathering at Delta Lake's Bible Conference Center too. I am embarrassed to say I don't remember yet at the same time, I feel as if I've known Paula my entire life. Does this make any sense? Paula is one of the strongest and sweetest people I know. Her blog, "Sharing a Peace in the Puzzle of Life" provides inspiration for all who read it. One of my favorite "series" or "weekly challenge" this year on her blog requires me to read her blog and then apply it to my life. Paula started "Words Worth Remembering" for 2013. The goal of this series is to encourage herself, and her readers, to hid God's Word in their heart. One verse a week for the entire year. When the ball drops for 2014, we should have at least fifty-two new verses memorized. I am one of those kids who always asks, "Why?" and when teachers couldn't tell me "why" I should learn something new, I usually checked out and ignored them. I don't advise this method of learning yet I understand it because this is me. Paula understands this stubborn (and annoying) quality in people and not only shares a new verse each week but shares some history and insight for each verse. I love this! Please don't get me wrong, Paula didn't explain it this way, this is only my interpretation and you know how I am. teehee ![]() In addition to amazing friend and blogger, Paula released her first book this past November, Cherish This Christmas: Seeing Christ Amidst the Chaos. It is a beautiful devotional reminding of the reason we celebrate Christmas. It isn't about the wrapping paper and gifts, it is about The Gift. Without further adieu, here Paula’s review!![]() Paula writes..."“Where’s Heidi, One Sister’s Journey” gives us a unique view into a tragedy we only get a glimpse of through news reports.
