Today was a beautiful Spring day with sunshine and time with family. One of my husband’s dear uncles passed away on Thursday morning ~ today were the calling hours with a birthday party for his Aunt directly after. I was thrilled the family kept the birthday party as originally scheduled. Do you hear my Gram’s saying coming back ~ “Live for the living!” My in-laws are spunky and full of life. We celebrated Aunt Rose’s 74th birthday with memories of her life including those of her brother. It was a blessed and joyful afternoon and evening. I was glad to be a part of it.
Tomorrow is Mother’s day – what will you be doing? In the past we have enjoyed breakfast prepared and served by the men of our church, then we traveled to Oswego to join the Buske family for the morning church service. Later in the afternoon we would make our way to my parent’s house for some time with them. This year we are starting new traditions as a family. I will still enjoy breakfast served by the men (and my handsome husband) at church in the morning but this year my family will stay at our home church for a morning worship service. Following the service we will travel home, slip into some comfy clothes, call our Mom’s and wish them each a Happy Mother’s Day. We may do something else or we may simply stay home…I have decided yet!
Tomorrow is my day to play Cinderella. I’m known to say “I’m Cinderella waiting for the ball!” Tomorrow is the ball at the Buske Manor! Yipee…Do you think it would be okay for Cinderella to write all day! Hmm…
I have a special blog for my mom tomorrow...on Mother’s day! She deserves it!
