Thank you CNY Woman...

This has been an exciting week to say the least - God has answered prayers and encouraged me in such amazing ways this week.  First of all He started the week with a snowday then the email from an interested publisher with today's phone message at work bringing more smiles and encouragement.

Do you remember the article Carol Thompson wrote for The Valley News at the end of the year?  Well...she had mentioned the editors were interested in featuring me in their CNY Woman magazine in 2011.  I was stunned and accepted but hadn't heard anything more about it ~ until today that is.

This morning I was handed a note asking me to call so I could set up my "photo shoot" for the March issue of CNY Woman.  I read that message multiple times today and looked up and said "Thank you Jesus!"  Oh my goodness, a photo shoot!  Wow!  I returned the phone call once I was calm or at least could sound calm only to learn they wanted me to do the shoot after-school this afternoon. 

Bummer...I had a prior commitment.  My daughter's first middle school play was this evening and I was going to spend the ever so brief hour between work and call time dolling up her hair and putting on her make-up.  As I prepared to transition my writing from a beloved passion into a career I asked God to help me always keep Him and my family first.  As much as I wanted to attend my first photo shoot this afternoon - I wasn't going to miss my daughter's opening night. 

Guess what...they said no problem they can do it tomorrow afternoon!  Yeah!  So this Friday will mark my first photo shoot as a writer!  God is Faithful...snowday, contacted by a publisher and now He made both opening night and the photo shoot possible.
