![]() There might have a wild storm snowing and blowing in Oswego County on Wednesday but it didn't stop UPS from delivering the first shipment of Where's Heidi? One Sister's Journey to our door. Ed and I checked online last week to determine how long it would take for the books to come so we could write "Order Books Now" on the calendar. After placing the order to reach the "estimated delivery date", both our eyes got big as we saw a date in March. Originally, we planned to order mid-March for the April 3, 2013 release, BUT after realizing it would take a little over two weeks for the books to arrive, we placed the order. I gave my parents the expected delivery date and planned to check on March 1st to monitor the arrival date so my parents could be here to accept the delivery. ![]() Well, needless to say, I don't need to monitor tracking or wait any longer. Mom called Wednesday to say, "The UPS man was just here and said he has a lot of packages for your house, wanted to know if you were home. I thought the books weren't coming until March." I was in shock and watched out the window like a school girl to see that lovely brown truck appear over the hill. As he backed his truck into the driveway my heart was pounding. Then he thrust open the back doors and started to stack boxes at the end. Taking time to scan each one. To Count. To recount. With the pile stacked taller than most men, he exited the truck through the side door and started the procession of hope from a snow and salt covered delivery truck to the home ready to store them until April third. Did you know this is less than forty days away!? ![]() Each of the twenty-seven boxes have been opened and counted, then restacked in our living room. With this usable space on top, I made it a work area. Instead of multiple folding tables set up in the house, the writing piles now have a new home. I love it, and I'm pretty sure Ed and Mags do too as the living room, although serving as storage unit now, still appears bigger without my small tables set up all over the place. In spite of the flu keeping me home and horizontal for this mid-winter break, I've scheduled a couple more speaking engagements and book signings. I've started reading and researching for the sequel to Where's Heidi? and spent time reading for fun. Yesterday some clarity and thought processing returned so I started working on presentations for after April third. I am overwhelmed at how God is working in our lives and in sharing Where's Heidi? with others. Only He could do this. Someone said, "You are doing a lot, you can't give all the credit to God." In one sense, they are right but on the other, no. I only have the emotional, physical, and spiritual strength to do this because of the trust and relationship I have with Him. So yes I am doing my share but God is leading the way and I choose to trust and obey. You can pre-order your books through the River's End Bookstore -19 W. Bridge St., Oswego, NY or you can call(315)342-0077. They are also hosting the release and book signing party on April 3, 2013 at 6 p.m. Hope you can make it! I believe my entire family will be there, so come and enjoy some food, fun, and of course...pick up your copy of the book and have it signed. Where's Heidi? One Sister's Journey releases April 3, 2013!
