One Sister's Journey...
Yesterday the school I work at awarded a scholarship to a graduating senior that attended New Haven Elementary school all five years of their school career. The name of this scholarship is We Remember You. As part of the award ceremony, the student’s kindergarten through fourth grade teachers say a few words of the characteristics and/or things they remember about when this student was in their classroom so many years ago.
I am not going to award a scholarship for college today yet want to pay tribute through a We Remember You blog, dedicated to my Grandma Mary in honor of her birthday today. She would have been in her nineties.
During Wednesday’s blog of my Favorite Childhood Memories, I introduced to some of the shenanigans we enjoyed while at her house.
In honor of my Gram, I invite you to share a memory about my Grandma, Mary (Hogan) Searles or share a memory of your grandparents. Instead of the constant rush through life, slow down and remember…remember the elders who helped to make us the men and women we are today.
Happy Birthday Gram!
