It's that time of the week again where I share upcoming events or make an announcement. I was hoping to share the excitement I won a contest today but you never know, there is still time as it's early in the day. In April I entered the Writer's Digest contest for a chance to be dubbed the best self published book of the year. We prayed about investing the amount of money required for the entry and after much prayer and before the deadline, mailed off the check and one of my books. Today, October 15th is the day they announce the winner. Who knows, maybe they'll call me today? Regardless of if I win or not, I'm glad we decided to take the chance and enter. You never know, a judge might of read Where's Heidi? One Sister's Journey and realized he or she still has hope. I didn't let fear stop me and I followed through, so all is good and if God chooses I will receive a call or email today to notify me I'm a winner. Whether Writer's Digest says I'm a winner or not, I am. I am because instead of dreaming about writing a book, I did it. And the icing on the cake, life's are changing because of the message God lays on the hearts of my readers. Such a God thing... But do know this, if I hear from Writer's Digest - there will probably be a second blog today or at least a lot of happy dancing on Facebook with a celebratory blog tomorrow! With that being said, let me update you of upcoming events. As we transition into the latter part of Fall and organizations look ahead to their Fall/Winter/Spring events, my opportunities to share hope, healing, and Heidi with others are filling my calendar. It's not too late if you are looking for a speaker ~ thanks to an evening I spent with the Oswego Alliance last year, I have a fun Christmas presentation if you have a women's group or church event you are looking to fill with a festive and fun message. Thanks for following the blog, reading my books, and sharing with others! You never know when God will work through you to encourage someone else. If your eyes, ears, and heart are open to it, He'll do this daily and you my friend, will experience a joy like no other. To help and encourage someone else is a priceless gift. Upcoming Events
