Community and Media Invited as Ken & Sue Allen, Sheriff Todd, Key Figures in the 1994 Heidi Allen Disappearance Case Reflect on “Where’s Heidi? One Sister’s Journey” - All are welcome!
In anticipation of the spring 2013 release of “Where’s Heidi? One sister’s Journey,” Christian author Lisa M. Buske, the sister of Heidi Allen, will unveil the book’s cover in a public celebration Friday, Sept. 14, at 4:30 p.m. at the Heidi Allen Memorial Garden - in front of the same convenience store from which the 18-year-old disappeared nearly 20 years ago.
“I am blessed beyond words to celebrate what will have been my sister’s birthday by inviting our friends, family, the community and members of the local media to join me in unveiling the cover to my book aimed to give hope to siblings of missing and kidnapped individuals - a hope that I didn’t have for many years after Heidi’s disappearance,” said Buske.
Heidi Allen’s parents, Ken & Sue Allen, along with Oswego County Sheriff Reuel A. “Moe” Todd and other individuals directly involved with the 1994 case will comment on the book before the unveiling of its cover and will be available immediately after for media interviews.
Light refreshments will be served to the public and our friends in the media. Event is rain or shine.
