Hello everyone. It’s another week of Vlogging on the blog, love it! Thank you so much for your feedback, it is both appreciated and helpful. Although this is a one way conversation, I feel like we are in the same room. A special thanks to those who have sent a question for upcoming Vlogs. It’s never too late. You can post your questions below on the blog, send it through the “contact me” page, or drop me an email at lbuskewriter@aol.com. I look forward to hearing from you. Today’s Vlog question: “Lisa, what is next after you find a publisher for “Where’s Heidi? The Search Begins”? *My apologies for the video quality this week. Oh my gosh, Mags and I had tears in our eyes as the computer microphone morphs my voice part way through. This Vlog will make you smile and laugh while you learn a little more about me! I believe both my computers need a TLC visit now. So sad. First of all, thank you for the encouragement and hope expressed in your question. God has placed my manuscript in the hands of a few publishers which is so exciting. I continue to pray for the publisher God has for my first book and as I wait…I continue to write.
As with most things in life, it is a matter of timing. Last fall I tossed the idea around of taking my blogs and developing them into a book of devotionals for the grieving sister. Then over Christmas break and the early part of this year I considered developing a fictional story I started a few years ago. Then this year’s “Heidi Remembrance Series” triggered another thought. Actually it was one friend’s question to me in the midst of the series and just before Easter that started the thinking and then further conversation with another friend, the new idea was birthed. The best part is God has given me a title with an idea on how to end “Where’s Heidi?” so it leads into the next book. WooHoo… What is next? I will continue to write and speak for Him. As He opens the doors, I pray to walk through them in faith and His strength. Only He knows truly what is next but my hope…lives changed because they learn through my book, there is hope and healing through a relationship with Jesus. |
