Keeping it Real...Welcome! No matter how you found this, God knew you'd be here today. May you absorb the message He has for you. In 2011 I shared through my writing, today I've learned there is more to me than just writing. I have the energy and passion to share with others. Sometimes through Facebook live and others with my blog and most importantly, I've learned my passion to cook and bake is a vessel to share my writing and live presentations, while glorifying God in the process. I just needed to let go, and follow His lead.

Okay, I know some of you are still shaking your head at last week’s toilet paper roll analogy of how God sees us versus the way we feel. My intention was never to offend anyone but only to emphasize the significance of God’s love for us, even when we fell unworthy or like He, or anyone for that matter cares. Someone said, “You really need a break from blogging if you’ve started to bring the laptop into the bathroom.” I still laugh each time I think of it. My computer may be portable but not for the “15 minute reading room” (aka – bathroom). The idea came to me while changing the toilet paper roll, not while sitting on the throne. Sorry, I couldn’t resist. ![]() We’re moving into the laundry room for today’s insight. This spring my brother-in-law visited and asked me to pick up Oxi Clean when I went to the store. I never heard of it but found it quick enough. I used it when doing his laundry and noticed how bright his colors were and white his whites became. He only stayed a week so I started adding Oxi Clean to our laundry and am amazed at the difference it makes. Last week as I loaded dirty clothes into the washer I was reading the Oxi Clean package. As soon as the I closed the washing machine top so it could do its job, I grabbed a notepad and pen from the basket on top of the dryer to make notes for today’s blog. This laundry detergent claims your clothing will be brighter, whiter, and better. Think about it, what could be better than something that transforms all the filth of your dirty laundry into something better and more pure? I’ve got the answer for you, God. God is the Ultimate Oxi Clean, also known as the God of Omnipresence, Omniscience, and Omnipotence. What does this mean? I remember asking this same question the first time I heard these three words. It’s really easy actually ~ God is all-knowing, all-present/all-seeing, and all-powerful. ![]() If God is all of these things, then the cleanliness, brightness, and beauty of our soul has potential to shine with the right ingredients. Think of the filth in your life – we all have it, I’ll raise my hand and say, “Yeah, that’s me.” I don’t always make the right choices, say the right thing at the right time, or encourage someone in their time of need. Can you relate? There are a few things I know for sure. In life, I will make mistakes. My response to the mistakes determines the next step, and if I make the same mistake again. Other times I haven’t realized my error until I spent some time in God’s Word, aka, the Bible. Some believe the Bible is just another book written. It may be one of many books yet it’s the bestselling books out there. And you know the best part; it’s ALL God-inspired. God’s words to teach, encourage, uplift, inspire, motivate, correct, and so much more. If we take the time to scoop even one Bible verse up a day, our lives would be brighter. The moment we admit to Jesus we are sinners, believe He died on the cross for our sins and rose again three days later, and then confess our sins ~ we are made new, white as snow. At the end of the day, we are better for making choices that are ethical, moral, and ultimately – like Jesus. Have you added a scoop of Omni to your life? |
