What do you see? A Sweater or A Memory

Never forgotten...

While the focus in Oswego County is on Heidi Allen, the missing eighteen year old from its county...there are missing children and adults across the state and country experiencing similar situations of hearings and media. They also live each day with hope to have their missing loved one returned to them one day. Rather than focus on Heidi today, I thought it would be nice to share Rose Marie Gayhart. She, like Heidi, is more than a missing person's flyer...she is someone's sister, daughter, friend, and neighbor.

Laurie writes...
The Green Sweater:
"As many of you know, Christmas and the holidays seasons are very difficult for me and many others who have a missing loved one. As the day is getting closer I have a real hard time. 

On December 24, 1984 my sister Rose (living in Dansville, NY.) me in (Rochester, NY,) called me and told me she was moving to Florida, so I took a trip to Dansville to see Rose and deliver her Christmas gift which was a green sweater. 

Last time I seen her and was able to hug her and it was the last time I ever seen her...In 1995 I went to police station to identify her belongings and on top of the brown paper bag laid that green sweater and the tears just rolled."
