Hello and thank you for checking our my holiday blog. I'm trying something new this time around. If you are new to my blog or this aspect of "who" I am, let me share.

​On Easter Sunday, April 3, 1994, my sister disappeared, while working alone at the local convenience store. She remains missing today and our family holds onto hope to bring her home one day. My mom's first question was "Where's Heidi?" and 28 years, 7 months and 23 days later...I am determined to keep praying, searching, and hoping until this question is answered.

Each year I try to remember my sister in a way that reminds myself, and others to hold onto the hope. I've done photo shares in the days leading up to Christmas, blog series, and strung lights. In twenty-eight years, we've remembered her in many ways. This year I have something special planned.

It will be a remembrance to Heidi sharing multiple passions of mine:
*A passion to cook & bake, instilled by my Gram and Dad
*A passion to write, one I've missed
*A passion and determination to help others remember to HOPE, hope is eternal
*A way to remember and honor Heidi, she is NEVER forgotten!

I hope you'll join me for this journey of cooking, baking, and more in twelve days of hope for Heidi. Mark your calendars: December 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and because we like a "baker's dozen" - one last recipe on December 23rd.

You can watch each day's recipe being made live on my Youtube channel on that day. The time will vary daily since this is a marathon cooking and blog series, so I'll jump on when it fits.
