3/17/2020 1 Comment A Blog to Encourage Young Writers![]() Faith's Feather Pen, a book written and dedicated to an amazing class of students I looped with for a few years. They inspired me to write this book because of their passion and desire to learn more about writing and "how writing could possibly be fun", and it can! As we face a new mode of teaching and learning, I decided to share my passion to write, meld it with my joy to teach, and start a blog to encourage young and aspiring authors, and the reluctant writer. As parents use the packets of material sent home from the teachers, there is still a lot of minutes left in the day to incorporate additional learning. My hope is that you'll enjoy this blog and share it with your kiddos. This is the first post and, like everything else involving COVID-19, a new way to blog for me, yet one I look forward to doing. My plan at this moment is to offer a video, or two, along with a journal prompt to inspire them to write. Thank you for giving me a chance to instill a love of writing in your child. May you find a few moments to do the dishes, read, or use the restroom while your child realizes they not only like to write, but they are wonderful story tellers too! Things to note:

AuthorThis page is a way for me to connect with students, share my passion to write, and hopefully instill this same passion in them as they learn at home. REMEMBER TO INCLUDE IN YOUR STORY:When you write, remember to answer these questions:
I gave you a few examples to get you started. 1) Who you are with? (mom, dad, brother, sister.) 2) Where you are? (inside, outside, house, barn) 3) How are you feeling? (happy, sad, mad, discouraged) 4)What are you doing? (playing, singing, dancing) 5) When did this take place? (day, morning, afternoon, night) Archives
