Karen's sister Kathy was kidnapped and murdered over forty years ago but this doesn't stop Karen Beaudin for advocating for her beloved sister's case and the cold cases of others in her area and beyond. If you haven't looked into Karen's book, "A Child is Missing", I recommend it.

Author and speaker, Elaine W. Miller, joined us April 3, 2013 for the release of Where's Heidi? One Sister's Journey. We are all very blessed to call her not only friend but a part of our family. This morning as her blog arrived to my inbox I saw not only her smiling face but that of my sweet husband and me.
Thank you Elaine for being with us for this special day and then adding this sweet review of the book with eyes I hadn't even realized. Well, I know how wonderful my Ed is but didn't recognize it was woven throughout the book. Thank you!!
Elaine opened with, "Where's Heidi? is a love story. It's a story of a sister's love, a community's love, a parent's love, and a Savior's love. There's another love story tucked between the lines as well. The love of a husband for his wife...."

Karen's book, A Child is Missing, the first book written by a sister about her sister's kidnapping and murder. Although parts were difficult to read, it opened the door and communication to an author writing a similar story, a sister with similar hurts, and today...a new friend.
Thank you Karen for sharing Where's Heidi? One Sister's Journey with your readers on its debut day, April 3, 2013. You are a blessing.
