Keeping it Real...Welcome! No matter how you found this, God knew you'd be here today. May you absorb the message He has for you. In 2011 I shared through my writing, today I've learned there is more to me than just writing. I have the energy and passion to share with others. Sometimes through Facebook live and others with my blog and most importantly, I've learned my passion to cook and bake is a vessel to share my writing and live presentations, while glorifying God in the process. I just needed to let go, and follow His lead.

TOP's Tuesday ~ We're All ConnectedThis weekend I was reminded "we are all connected", even though we might not realize it. I spent Saturday at the Presbyterian Church in Mexico as part of "Christmas in Mexico". It was a fun and joyful day. As a Girl Scout, our leaders reminded us to make new friends but keep the old. I still love this song. This weekend was an opportunity to live out this song. I met some "friends" from here, Facebook, and Twitter. I reconnected with friends of younger days and made new ones. It was a great time of fellowship and celebration for this Christmas season. Sunday evening, during our women's small group we talked about the amazing way we are all "connected" and don't even realize it. Have you ever been talking with a friend about another friend's acheivements or adventures only to find out you both know the same person? I think this is so cool, it really is a small world. ![]() In addition to new friends, my friend MaryJane was at the table next to me. She made the great leap to start a jewelry and card making business. She is one talented cookie. In addition to meeting a lot of great people, I spend the day laughing with a friend. This was my second year at the Presbyterian Church to "meet and greet" people in our community and beyond. Next year, God willing, I plan to return but one thing will be different...I will have my book available for sale. How sweet! Even if the Lord calls me home before next year, someone will be sitting at a table with my book. This is a family book ~ written with God's inspiration and help of our entire family. ![]() Where's Heidi? One Sister's Journey Updates and Sharing *Prayers appreciated for this weekend, sorry gentlemen but both are women's events: - Friday, December 7th at 3 p.m I will share "Tragedy to Triumph" over tea with the women of Adam's Baptist - Saturday, December 8th, at 6:30 p.m. I will share "The Light of the World" at the Oswego Alliance Church. Feedback has been positive so far and we look forward to the release in 120 days. *Christmas Video to be released on the December 18th's TOP's Tuesday blog. *Book Release Scavenger Hunt ~ As part of the March TOP's Tuesday blog series there will be one clue a week for a mystery book signing on April 3rd, 2013. Of course, the big release party will be at the River's End Bookstore (Oswego, New York) but in true Allen fun, I will be hidden somewhere for a special release with a limited number of copies. Nineteen years ago we searched for Heidi, on the 19th anniversary, I encourage you to search for the book detailing the story behind the headlines, as seen through the eyes of a sister. *"Heidi Allen Remembrance Garden" ~ please say a prayer for Heidi and our missing children as you see the angel and star lighting their way home this Christmas season. See the December 2nd blog for more details on this beautiful sight. |
